Free of charge sports equipment includes: ski, snowboard equipment or bicycle. One pair of ski/snowboard is free of charge irrespective of the free baggage allowance; for the second item or pair, normal excess baggage charges apply. The bicycle is free of charge if within the free baggage allowance.
Large sports equipment exceeds 150 cm or 59 in in length and it can be transported depending on the loading capacities of the aircraft.
Large fishing rods are included within the free baggage allowance, but if exceeded, normal excess baggage charges apply.
Prior notification at the time of booking is required. Please contact Carpatair Call Center.
Other small sports equipment includes: body boards, archery equipment, scuba diving, water skiing, small surfboards or bowling equipment. These articles are included within the free baggage allowance, but if exceeded, normal excess baggage charges apply. In case of small sports equipment, you don’t need to announce Carpatair when you make your reservation.
Attention! In case of scuba diving equipment, you must contact Carpatair Call Center in advance, because it may contain items considered dangerous goods (like torches, oxygen bottles) which must be packed/transported in special conditions.
Arms and ammunition. In some airports, special security handling fees may apply for transportation of arms and ammunition.
